**Your children are very excited to be "official" reporters for the Olympics.  They even have their reporter's ID.  I am sending home papers that your child will use, for the 1st part of their report, when they write the information they find about the olympic sport they chose. I gave them 2 papers, they do not need to use both or they can have more if they need it.  For a 1st grade report they may write 2 or 3 sentences about the sport and 1 or 2 about the athletes that are competing in that sport.  They can bring in or draw pictures of the sport and/or athletes. Someone asked if they can put it on a poster.  They can if they want, but don't have to. 

***Next week I will be sending home another paper, for the 2nd part of their report, that they can fill out after they know who wins the medals and either draw or print pictures of the winners.
