We had another wonderful day.

Check your child's homework folder for a note about parents attending "Disney on Ice" in November.  We need to know by Monday how many parents wish to attend. If you are interested please fill in the form and send in your money. I hope you can come too.
A permission form will come home for your child at a later date. The children were very excited about seeing the show again!

Today we read First Day Jitters (ask them about the surprise ending) and they are writing about one of their "first day at school" memories.
We also blended and read some short /a/ words and talked a about adding -s to make words "more than one" (plural nouns).

We discussed complete sentences and how they start with a capital letter and end with a period, question mark, or exclamation point.  They all did a marvelous 'detective job' identifying the complete sentences!
