Today is the Feast of St. Blaise.

Your children were so surprised when I said it was lunchtime. 

Today we wrote words with a_e and i_e, talked about finding a missing addend (I call it the 

Mystery ? Number) and which words help us to know when to subtract (more than? or less than? in a word problem), worked on a summary for either The Hat, The Mitten, or The Snowy Nap by Jan Brett, and read more about polar animals.
