June 4 Thursday

Good morning!! How is everyone today? The flowers had a good watering with the rain yesterday and last night.

Please email me by 10:00AM so I can take and submit attendance.

Let’s begin our day with prayer.

Thank you Holy Spirit
For being Our Helper always.
Amen.

Please say the Pledge of Allegiance.

PHONICS
Page 299     Connected Text
*read the title
*point out that ‘How to Make a Sandcastle’ is a how-to list with steps

Ask to check comprehension:

‘What will happen if you add too much water? How do you know?’

‘Which words tell you when to do the steps? What will happen if you don’t follow the steps in order?’

‘Why is it important to add the shell last? Explain how you know.’

                1~ g-ir-l
                2~ b-ir-d
                3~ sh-ir-t

Listen and Spell
*have your child write each word and sentence (they may need to ask which /ur/ , this is normal at this stage)

1-her               2-turn
3-hurt             4-third
5-I fed the bird first.

(One clue I give them is that –er happens a lot at the end of a word.)
